Summary of Project:
“This project is a time based exploration that opened up via my direct engagement with the Kaeo community, a small flood-prone township in the far north of New Zealand. In this place I have built new relations that have guided me and at the sam time have questioned my authorial presence. Poppy’s River is a real site in the landscape, a cover along the river where I came across geodes, stones containing circular formations of different coloured stone and galena fragments. This site holds relevance for family that I have stayed with and is a location that I have visited multiple times. The series speaks on my interactions with this landscape and the perceptions of my collaborators.”
