Summary of Project:

You See Me, I See You is the Singaporean photographic artist’s first published photo book cum exhibition catalogue. This unique two-sided book is printed in a limited edition of 200 copies. Visually surrealistic and deeply introspective, the showcase of conceptual photographs made over a period of seven-years is a celebration of memory, representing the beginning and the end of the photographic artist’s personal journey in London. More than a visual record, the series provokes a humanistic study into latent and deep-seated issues of connection and disconnection; isolation and belonging; loss and identity. An examination of the intrinsic self, the body of work can be perceived as a reflection of the artist’s own history, through portrait and self-portrait, and thus, representation and self-representation.
