Summary of Project:
I have lost count the number of times I’ve roamed the streets after midnight. Despite my tired, bloodshot eyes and (occasional) inebriation, what drives me is the curiosity of what the late-night streets have to offer.
Amongst the arguing drunks, or people slouched in the corner of a NightRider I do my best to avoid the overpowering smell of vomit and stay until the first light breaks through the morning clouds.
‘Wild for the Night’ is about the dark and its citizens. What began as photographing the music and club scenes back in 2011, evolved into capturing moments and experiences of my late commute home. The result is a collection of diaristic entries accompanies by black and white photographs of Melbourne at night.
